Move Diary: Phase 1 Completed

The move to Robarts is now complete. Our amazing movers did a wonderful job, working until 1:00 am on Friday to get the books all moved out and into Robarts. The process of unpacking the books and shelving them at Robarts has begun and will be completed  shortly.

Many of our shelves are bare but there is still so much more to be done.  There will be two more phases of the move in the near future.  In Phase 2, the books destined for storage will be moved out – this will take approximately a week and we will let you know when it starts.  In Phase 3, staff will move to the Birge-Carnegie building along with a 30,000 volume core collection of monographs, the reference collection and course reserves. At this point the library will be closed for a few days so we can get unpacked and settled;  don’t worry we will give you plenty of notice before that happens and staff will still be checking their e-mail as much as possible.
