Library Move – Phase Two Begins..

Starting on July 9th, movers will begin to move  material from the library into storage.  Approximately  80,000 volumes will be moved out over the course of the week.  There  will be noise and disruption as well as moving boxes and equipment in the aisles.  Please be careful.

The library will be open and all services will be available during this time.  The final move to Birge-Carnegie will likely take place at the end of July.

The volumes moving to storage will not be retrievable are however there are alternative locations either on campus or online for most of this material.  Please contact any one of the reference librarians if you need assistance in locating the resources you need:

  • Canada: Statutory materials (except as noted in our FAQ) (available at Government Publications – 5th Floor Robarts)
  • Ontario: Statutory materials (except as noted in our FAQ) (available at Government Publications – 5th Floor Robarts)
  • Provincial statutes (except Ontario) (available at Government Publications B2 Storage area – (must be requested online for in-library use only))
  • Canadian reporters (except as noted in our FAQ) (Online (most) or interlibrary loan)
  • UK primary materials (except as noted in our FAQ) (Online (some) or interlibrary loan)
  • USA primary materials main collection ((except as noted in our FAQ) (Online (most) or interlibrary loan)
  • Non-Canadian, UK or US primary materials (Online (some) or interlibrary loan)
