Last Friday at 5:00 after a few delays, the Bora Laskin Law Library building closed for renovations. On Monday July 29th the library will re-open with our core collection at Birge-Carnegie in place.
For those of us at the library who have been at Bora Laskin since the doors opened it was a bittersweet moment. Chief Librarian John Papadopoulos shares some of his memories of his time at here as a student and as a librarian in this recorded conversation.
The shelves have been emptied and the books moved out in preparation for the renovation.
In the meantime at our temporary digs at Birge Carnegie, staff are already unpacking their offices, the phones are working and most of the computers are set up.
Stay tuned …. Tomorrow I will give you a preview of our new space.
