Celebrating Bora Laskin on the Anniversary of his Birth

Bust or Bora Laskin

October 5th is the birthdate of Bora Laskin (1912-1984), former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada in whose honour the Bora Laskin Law Library is named. In addition to his distinguished career on the bench (appointed to the Ontario Court of Appeal in 1965, to the Supreme Court of Canada in 1970 and becoming Chief Justice of Canada in 1973) Chief Justice Laskin played a significant role in the life of the University of Toronto Law School as one of its founding faculty members and more prominent scholars.
